Conditions for opening and running a DuAfrik shop

Version of 2026-10-13

These conditions apply to every shop opened on DuAfrik, in Dubai and in Africa. By creating your shop, you accept them in full.

Rule no. 1: no direct contact with customers

The seller may not call, message or deal directly with customers. Any negotiation or sale made outside the platform may lead to the shop’s permanent exclusion.

  1. 1. What DuAfrik is for your shop

DuAfrik is a marketplace connecting shops and customers. DuAfrik collects the customer’s payment, organises delivery and handles customer service. The shop supplies products that match what it publishes and prepares orders within the stated time.

  2. 2. Who can open a shop

In Dubai: a valid trade licence and the ID of the person registering the shop (Emirates ID or passport) are required. In Africa: the ID document, front and back, is required; the RCCM, NINEA or a licence are added when the shop has one. If the shop is registered by a manager, the owner’s identity (name, phone, ID front and back) is required, and a signed authorisation is recommended. All information must be accurate and up to date. DuAfrik may ask for further documents or check the shop on site.

  3. 3. Location and photos

The exact GPS location of the shop is required, together with real, recent photos of the storefront (sign visible) and of the inside. Photos copied from the internet or not matching the shop lead to a refusal. The exact location is never shown to customers: only the district and city are public.

  4. 4. Shop approval

A shop is visible only once approved by DuAfrik, normally within 48 hours. DuAfrik may refuse a shop and explain why; the seller can then correct the application and send it again.

  5. 5. Published products

Products must be genuine, legal in the country of sale and honestly described, with real photos, an exact price and up-to-date stock. Forbidden in particular: counterfeits, medicines, weapons, dangerous or illegal goods, and any regulated product without authorisation. DuAfrik may remove a product at any time.

  6. 6. No contact details, no direct contact

No phone number, WhatsApp number, e-mail, link, social media name or precise address may appear in the shop, the products, the photos or the parcels. The seller never sees customers’ names or phone numbers and must not try to obtain them. It is forbidden to call, message or deal directly with a customer met through DuAfrik, or to suggest ordering outside the platform. Any negotiation or sale made outside the platform may lead to the shop’s permanent exclusion, without notice. Pending payments linked to such facts may be withheld while they are checked.

  7. 7. Keeping the catalogue up to date

The seller chooses an update frequency (every day, 2 to 3 times a week or every week) and commits to it: prices, stock, new arrivals. The seller publishes at least the promised number of products within 7 days of approval. A shop that is no longer updated goes down the results and may be suspended after 30 days without updates.

  8. 8. Orders, preparation and delivery

Shops in Dubai: DuAfrik (or a DuAfrik buyer) buys the items in the shop, then ships them to Africa through a cargo agency. Shops in Africa: the customer orders and pays DuAfrik; the shop confirms availability and prepares the order within the stated time, then a DuAfrik courier collects and delivers it. An order confirmed and then not fulfilled without good reason may lead to a suspension.

  9. 9. Commission and payouts

No commission until 13 January 2027. After that, DuAfrik takes 10 % of the value of the items sold (delivery excluded), unless otherwise agreed in writing. The seller is paid after delivery to the customer, on the payout method declared (Wave, Orange Money, Free Money, MTN Mobile Money or bank transfer).

  10. 10. Personal data

ID documents, licences and authorisations are stored privately and are used only to verify the shop and comply with the law. They are never shown to customers. Customers’ data is never passed on to sellers, except what is needed to prepare the order (item, quantity, options).

  11. 11. Suspension, exclusion and changes

DuAfrik may suspend or exclude a shop for false information, forbidden or misleading products, direct contact with customers, unfulfilled orders or breach of these conditions. The seller may contest a decision by message to DuAfrik. DuAfrik may update these conditions; the applicable version is shown at the top of this page.
